"Foundation Basketball...UNBREAKABLE!"

The Foundation Basketball Group is an organization that develops student athletes from the foundation up. Foundation Basketball was established in 1996 by David Anderson, to provide opportunities for athletes to train and develop their skills during focused sessions in order to build confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline through the fundamentals of basketball. FBG takes pride in being UNBREAKABLE on and off the court.

After learning and understanding the game of basketball, David began to help give kids an understanding of what the game was about too.  He was the volunteer assistant coach at Manchester High School, in Midlothian, Virginia, from 2001-2004.  He then took a position as the head freshman coach at Manchester High during the 2004-2005 season.

Later on that year, he began his training program, The Foundation Basketball Development Group, which would give kids the one on one attention they needed in order to improve their all-around game by strengthening their fundamentals.

David Anderson, the owner and CEO of the Foundation Basketball Development Group, began playing and learning the fundamentals of basketball at a young age.  He attended Beach Channel High School in Queens, New York from 1985-1988.  His junior and senior years, David was nominated player of the week, All Queens 2nd Team, and an “All City” Honorable Mention.

After his high school career, David continued on to play at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York.  As a freshman, he was awarded the “Leadership Award,” and as a sophomore the “Captains Award.”  David was ranked in the Top 10 in the state of New York for assists.
